so monday was a good day! my sister came over to clean and grocery shop for us, as she does almost every other week (she owes us $$$, in case you were wondering why she does this), so that was great. and then after work i brought the laptop in the kitchen with me and got to work on my first ever made from scratch meal. i decided to try some easy recipes from the pioneer woman site. beef and mushroom stew with roasted garlic potatoes! real hardy english style food! daniel was out of this world excited and happy, he had never seen me do this before haha. and it went really well, took a long time, but daniel said it was the best thing he has ever eaten and hasnt stopped talking about it. I EVEN ATE IT.. and i never eat stuff like this. it was soooooo good.
we have been watching loads of 'come dine with me' lately, so i guess i was inspired. i think i will continue cooking like this though. daniel has been kind of down lately and it cheered him right up, i get the biggest kick out of making him happy by playing the 'good wife' HA.
i need an apron now! haha god...
i had to take a picture, it was a historical event.
so the stew looks a bit gross here (kind of like poo!) but it is gorgeous, i promise.
